The TOP DOG " Harley"

Princess LILO (lady of the Luau)

These are my furry babies. Tell me that they are not the cutest little smooshy faces you have ever seen!
I always get from every one especially there Grandparents "How could you thing that ugly face is cute!!!" well first of all do they not realize that they are talking about there grandpuppies. ( That's not nice)
They both have polor opposite personalites which makes me love them so much.
My sweet old Harley. has been through so much. My hubby and I got him about 2 months after we were married. He was our first baby, and I mean it. We took him EVERYWHERE with us! I was working full time in a salon that time and was not home during the day. So we hired a neighborhood boy to babysit him! Yes you did hear me rite , he had a babysitter everyday so he would not be alone. So needless to say he's spoiled. He is now 8 1/2 years old and in spectacular shape for a Bully!
The vet is very impressed by the way he acts! Most bullies only make it to between 10 and 12. But our Harley still rompers like a pup. He has been through babies, puppies , kittens, you name it! He also has allergies, something I never realized animals could have until we had him. He is allergic to Wheat. Thank goodness my other babies do not have allergies. When we first got his test results back, I was like you have got to be kidding me. Unitl I went to the pet store and realized pretty much every food and treat is made with wheat flour! OMG!!! But it's all good, he has his special food.

Below is an exert from a writing from him being pet of the month!!
Hello, my name is Harley. I was so thrilled when my mommy told me that I was pet of the month with my favorite and only vet, Dr. Navin.
Dr. Navin has seen me ever since I was just a wee little thing. (“Yes, I was not always this Manly; it took a long time to get a body like this! “) Not only does he take care of my health, but also I come in for spa days. (“Who says men can’t spa! “)
About Four years ago, I started itching badly. I would come in to get cortisone shots to help with my itching. They would give me relief for a few days, and then I would go back to my itching. My parents would call me “Thumper” (“Do they realize I am a bulldog and not a rabbit. “) Dr. Navin had recommended to mommy and daddy that I get blood work done and see if I had any allergies. It took a few weeks but we finally got the results back. Come to find out I do have allergies. I am allergic to certain foods, weeds, and bugs. The foods that I am allergic to are Wheat and Eggs. It just so happen that these are the main ingredients in most food and Treats.
However, the nurses gave my parents a list of food that I could have.
I remember going to the pet store with mommy and daddy to find my new food and new treats. (“Well what kind of life is this? “) But to my surprise it‘s not so bad after all. Their was a few choices of treats that I was able to pick.
Doctors made a special medicine, just for me. This means Mommy and Daddy have to give me shots. (“Oh Great, Dad hates needles, and Mom get tears in her eyes when I get shots “) My mommy and daddy were kinda nervous but again my favorite nurses saved the day. (Actually many days!) They taught mommy and daddy to give the shots, and believe me, there is no pain involved whatsoever. Best of all the attention and treats I get after the shot! (Not so bad!) When I first started this medicine, I had to get the shots every other day. Then weekly. Know I get one shot a month. (“Gosh do I feel better! “)
I am so very thankful to have the greatest vet in the whole world, as well as all his staff. He has helped me so much. (“Not to mention all the attention I get from his nurses whenever I come in.”)
Not only do you take care of me but my bulldog sister Lilo and my Cat brother Cheech (Yes, I did say cat, but he’s COOL!) Everyone always takes time out for my parents and answers any questions or concerns that my mom and dad might have. (Us bulldogs tend to be high maintence, but mommy and daddy say we are ABSOLUTELY worth it)

I love you guys!
From the bottom of my heart, with a puddle of slobber!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Harley Boles

I must add, he has not had any allergy shots in almost a year, YEAH!
Then there's Lilo! Which should of been Stich because she acts more like him.
I had vowed that I would never have another female dog again! We had lost our other female bully when she was 4 years old and she was a little spit fire. But she was spoiled. About a week after we had lost her, we had gotten a call from our vets office and they had told us that they had a patient that was selling puppies. ( They know better now then to call because they no we will take them up on the offer!) So Hubby and I decided to go and take a look. We said no dogs rite now! Yeah Rite!!!
There was Lilo. And if you have ever seen a bulldog puppy, you just can't resist! Well needless to say Lilo came home with us that nite. Mind you we said no puppies and we would never get another female dog. Never say Never. Lilo was a VERY active puppy.
When we had moved to our house, she would escape! This would entail me running after her for SEVERAL minutes, playing a game of cat and mouse. She thought this was fun, I wanted to do other things to her. Then I would find her and have to pick her up and carry her home. Mind you she is not petite by any means. She is probally 1 1/2 ft -2ft. tall and 70lbs. So she is a compact tank and not easy to carry. I will say that now she has gotten better. She has calmed down quite a bit. She is very cuddlly and lovable. She just likes to pick on our Harley, and that is a big no no!!
I just had her for her yearly vet visit and Dr. said that she needs to eat less or up the excercise. If any of you know bulldogs, they are not the athletic type. But we are gradually working to get around the block!! Me and her will be workout partners so we can be in shape for bathing suit season!
I promised her a coconut bra! :)
Lastly, I have never seen a dog and cat have quite the relationship as Lilo and our cat Cheech (aka che ches) have. They LOVE each other. they are consistanly playing together. They will go outside together and come back in together. When this first happened, my hubby let the cat out with Lilo.
I asked " WHAT ARE YOU DOING, he's going to run away!" He said Sunrae, watch. Calls the dog and then the cat. Up comes Lilo, and rite after her theirs Cheech rite there with her! I have seen no cat quite like him. He is lovable. He greets you at the door. Quite frankly, I really think he thinks that he is a Bully to!
