My Mighty Titan #68

.......Sorry about the delay, I have been very busy,
our homecoming weekend ended up being very busy. We had a picnic on saturday afternoon which turned out great. We couldn't of asked for better weather and a great afternoon with friends. Then sunday morning we woke up bright and early. We decorated our car to cheer on #68 and the the Titan football team. We then paraded from their paractice field to the stadium and then game time. They had a flower ceremony in which the players and cheerleaders gave their parents a flower. My little man actually gave his momma a kiss in front of tons of people and the whole football team!(That is much love, from an 8 year old boy!) And they did end up winning their Homecoming game! Noah was also very shocked that he made his first tackle ever. Now my football guy is a very passive and compassionate boy. He is worried about peoples feelings and does not want to hurt anyone. Now as we all know in football what the object of the game is. It is not the sweetest of sports, and injury is bound to happen. (Yes, I will be all gray by the time he is 8 1/2)
Needless to say, my guy was stunned after he made this tackle and of course was worried about his opponent! (He is fine by the way, got up running)
The coaches and teammates were very impressed by his tackle and use him as an example. "Get Aggressive like #68" "ARE THEY TAKING ABOUT MY GUY #68 , THEY MUST BE MISTAKEN. HA! HA! ALL THOSE YEARS OF WRESTLING ARE FINALLY PAYING OFF" and yes my guy has been wrestling since he was 3. That's more than half his age. Those years of wrestling are embedded in the back of his mind, and he doesn't need to even think about it just comes naturally,
However my sweet little guy still does get worried because he doesn't like to see anyone get hurt, and will always make sure his opponent's okay. Now how's that for team spirit! And that is something that football, wrestling, or any tough guy sport can over take away from my Sweet little man!
And as I close, may I leave you with this quote,
"The game of life is alot like football, you have to TACKLE your problems,BLOCK, your fears, and SCORE YOUR POINTS, when you get the opportunity!! by Lewis Grizzard
